I dropped my iPhone 5 in the toilet (while I was peeing, ha!), I was able to retrieve it fast enough, turn it off, put it in a bowl of rice for 24hrs and then turn my phone on and it worked as it did prior to dropping it in the toilet. I was extremely relieved.

I decided to take apart my iPhone 5 to see if there was traces of water so I could clean it out with alcohol to avoid future corrosion and failure. I noticed that 1 of the 3 water sensors turned red (SIM Card Sensor) and was damaged and ultimately void my warranty. Luckily, that also meant, very little water entered my iPhone 5.

I looked on Amazon for some replacement sensors and found these at a great price, they're identical to the OE sensor and was super easy to remove and replace.
